For anyone who’s noticed that the descriptions in my meta tags are slop even though the bylines aren’t.

Why?

I learned something from one of Rossmann’s videos. I don’t want to contribute to the complete deterioration of search, but I do not want to completely kill my SEO. So my compromise is hiding the slop where only the bots and indexers will look for it.

Disclaimer, not an SEO expert. I read the paper Brin and Page put out in 1998 and tried mapping it forward to where I’ve seen the web move.
